Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff
Situated in the northwest quadrant of Central Ohio, Marble Cliff and Grandview Heights are an easy commute to Downtown Columbus, The Ohio State University and the Arena District. Grandview Heights was originally part of Marble Cliff, one of the first suburbs of Columbus, which settled as a community in 1890 and incorporated as the "Hamlet of Marble Cliff" in 1901. Grandview Heights became a separate village in 1906, and a city in 1931. Everyone loves the quaint downtown area with its wonderful shops and restaurants. Two of the great City events are The Hop, a mix of shopping, live music, art, food, drinks and activities held along Grandview Avenue between First and Fifth Avenues, which will be held for four months this year, from May through August, on the last Saturday of the month and The Tour de Grandview Bicycle Race was a great success, 2012 marked its 20th year! There’s also a new development, the Grandview Yard, which is changing a once vacant site into a vibrant urban neighborhood...this superbly located 90-acre site is transforming daily into a well-planned, mixed-use area that will create many new jobs in this small community.
